Man with a photo camera.
My photographs are visual depictions of my journey through life.
Except from the fact that I use a camera to make photographs I do not regard myself as a photographer. The idea of photographing for others has always made me uncomfortable, so my spell at being a wedding photographer was a short one. I photograph purely out of self interest and needs, perhaps that makes me an artist?
For me it all started with street photography. The process of observing and capturing candid, unmediated moments of everyday life changed my perspective on observation. This approach has also influenced me when it comes to portrait photography.
So I am a man with a photo camera, a visual storyteller, and these photographs are visual depictions of my journey through life.
“The camera is an excuse to be someplace you otherwise don’t belong. It gives me both a point of connection and a point of separation.”
